Are your crates and pallets suitable for export?
Yes. We can heat-treat and stamp solid-wood packaging to ISPM 15, supported by batch-level records and certificates to facilitate customs clearance.
What packing materials do you use?
Our crates are built from solid wood and engineered panels — plywood, OSB, or LVL — selected to suit your needs. Items are secured and cushioned with stretch film, plastic sheeting, foam, and bubble wrap. If you choose vacuum packing, we add desiccant (silica gel) and heat-seal the package to remove air and control moisture.
How long does it take to build and deliver the crates?
Typical lead time for custom crates is approximately 3–4 working days after design approval. Timelines vary with quantity, material availability, and complexity; we’ll confirm a schedule with your order.
Can you handle heavy-duty or oversized items?
Yes, we specialize in custom crating for heavy-duty industrial equipment and oversized items. We ensure structural strength and stability to support heavy loads during transport, and may advise on safe handling instructions for your carriers.
Do you offer fumigation and heat treatment services for export crates?
Yes. We offer both heat treatment and fumigation in accordance with international requirements.
Can you manufacture from my drawing?
Certainly. Share your drawings and any applicable standards or tolerances, and we’ll manufacture to specification. Our team can also propose value-engineering alternatives where helpful.
Do you offer delivery or pickup?
Both are available. We can deliver finished crates to your site or collect goods for packing at our facility. Lead times and fees will be quoted at confirmation.
What details do you need for a quote?
Please provide item dimensions (L×W×H), weight, quantities, photos (if available), and any handling constraints (e.g., tilt, shock, humidity). We’ll respond with a tailored proposal.
Heat Treatment & Fumigation
What is ISPM 15 and why does it matter?
ISPM 15 is an international standard designed to prevent the spread of pests through solid-wood packaging. Compliant heat treatment or fumigation enables smoother customs clearance for export shipments.
Does ISPM 15 apply to all wood packaging?
It applies to solid-wood pallets, crates, and dunnage. Engineered wood products such as plywood, particleboard, Oriented Strand Board (OSB), and Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) are generally exempt.
Which treatment should I choose for country “XXX”?
Requirements can vary by consignee and route. We’ll advise what is typically accepted for your destination, and we recommend confirming with your forwarder or customer.
Which is more economical—heat treatment or fumigation?
Heat treatment is generally the more economical and commonly accepted option. Fumigation is used when specifically required.
Why might fumigation be necessary?
Some countries may require fumigation as a specific method of treatment, and fumigation is sometimes preferred when handling larger quantities of wood, or in cases where heat treatment may not be feasible.
How long are the certificates valid?
Heat treatment certificates do not carry an expiry. Fumigation certificates are typically valid for 15 days from the fumigation date; please plan shipment accordingly.
Can I combine heat and fumigation treatments?
In some cases, both treatments may be applied to wooden packaging. This happens typically if there are stringent requirements from specific countries.
In general, either heat treatment or fumigation will suffice for ISPM-15 compliance.
Are heat-treated packages protected against re-infestation?
They are compliant post-treatment, but should be stored under shelter and kept away from potentially infested materials to prevent re-infestation before shipping.
Heat-treated pallets or boxed should be stored at least 5 meters away from infected items to prevent the spread of pests.
How do I verify heat treatment?
Compliant items carry the ISPM-15 stamp with the relevant HT code applied after treatment. We also maintain batch records for traceability.
Do I need to re-treat wood for later shipments?
No, provided the item remains intact and unmodified. Significant repairs or alterations may require re-treatment and re-stamping.
What if my wood packaging isn’t compliant?
Non-compliant packaging risks delays, treatment at port, or disposal. We recommend confirming compliance before dispatch to avoid disruption.
Do you only treat pallets? Can you collect ours?
Yes, we treat a wide range of wooden packaging! You may deliver items to our facility, or we can arrange collection and return on a scheduled basis. Our own transportation fleet enables us to collect and deliver your items efficiently and well.
Timber & Plywood Sourcing
What materials can you source?
We source mixed hardwood, pine, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), Oriented Strand Board (OSB), and plywood in common grades and sizes, as well as metal and plastic pallets when suitable for your application.
Do you only handle bulk orders?
Yes. Our sourcing is optimised for bulk requirements. If you have smaller one-off needs, let us know and we’ll advise feasible options.
How does sourcing work?
Our process is simple:
- You send us an inquiry with the material, size, grade, and volume required.
- Based on your requirements, we identify suitable supply.
- We then confirm timelines and pricing, quote you the best price available and arrange for delivery once confirmed.
I’m not sure what to choose — can you recommend?
Absolutely. Tell us your use case (load, environment, handling cycles). We’ll recommend cost-effective materials that meet your performance and compliance needs.
Where do you source your materials from?
We partner with trusted local and international mills and distributors and align supply with relevant industrial and export standards.
Do you provide quality assurances for sourced materials?
Yes. We verify each batch against agreed specifications and can provide documentation where required.
How long does the sourcing process take?
Indicatively 3–5 working days to confirm and prepare stock, depending on grade and volume. We’ll confirm exact timelines at quotation.
Can you provide customized cutting for the materials?
Yes. Cut-to-size services are available on request; please include tolerances and surface requirements if applicable.
What details do you need for a quote?
Material type, thickness/size, quantity, and any grade/spec requirements. This helps us prepare an accurate quotation for you.
Pallet Repair Service
What types of pallets can you repair?
We repair common 2-way and 4-way wooden pallets as well as custom sizes. Each pallet is assessed for structural integrity before work proceeds.
How do I know if my pallets can be repaired?
Share photos or arrange an inspection. We’ll advise whether repair is safe and economical, or if replacement would offer better value and performance.
Is repair on-site or at your facility?
Repairs are typically carried out at our facility for consistency and quality control. On-site options can be discussed for larger fleets with suitable access.
What’s included in a repair?
Repairs may include damaged board/runner replacement, nail reinforcement, and QC checks to ensure each pallet meets strength and handling standards.
If export is planned, we can add heat treatment and re-stamping for ISPM 15 compliance.
How do you keep track of pallets that have been repaired?
We mark each repaired pallet with a simple repair code, such as “R1” to indicate its first repair. If the same pallet is repaired again, the marking will be updated to “R2”, and so on. This helps in tracking repair history and maintaining quality consistency.
What are your lead times for pallet repairs?
Turnaround depends on volume and condition. As a guide, batches of ~100 pallets often complete in 3–4 working days; we’ll schedule to your operational needs.
Do you provide collection and delivery?
We can arrange pickup and return with advance booking. Transport fees depend on distance and load.
Can repaired pallets be used for export?
Yes — provided they undergo post-repair heat treatment and re-stamping where required. We’ll advise the correct process for your route.
Do you provide reports for repaired pallets?
Yes. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we send monthly pallet repair reports to our customers. These reports include details such as the number of pallets repaired and the estimated carbon savings.
Is repair more cost-effective than buying new?
In many cases, yes. If the base structure is sound, repair extends service life at lower cost and reduces waste. We’ll compare options transparently in your quote.
How do I request a quote for pallet repair?
Please share pallet size, quantities, typical damages, photos (if available), and your required turnaround. We’ll respond with scope, pricing, and a proposed schedule.
