Yat Guan maintains health and safety management systems suited to the risks and operating conditions of our facilities. These systems support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards and codes of practice in Singapore and Malaysia.
We are committed to providing our employees with the resources required to implement our safety procedures effectively, including training, supervision, equipment and suitable workplace controls. Risk Control and Safe Operations

Particular attention is given to machinery operation, equipment maintenance, manual handling and woodworking processes. Machinery, equipment and materials must be maintained in safe working condition and operated according to established procedures and manufacturer requirements.

Training, Protective Equipment and Shared Responsibility

Suitable personal protective equipment and work apparel are provided where required. Workers are responsible for using this equipment correctly and following the safety measures established for each task.

Employees must raise concerns when hazards or unsafe conditions are identified. Our safety requirements are also communicated to subcontractors, suppliers, visitors, vendors and other parties entering or working within our facilities.

Where infectious diseases, epidemics or other public-health risks may affect the workplace, suitable safe management measures may be introduced to reduce transmission risks and maintain a controlled working environment.

Site safety and security controls support the protection of employees, company property and members of the public from foreseeable harm.
Incident Management and Continual Improvement
Workplace incidents, injuries, near misses and unsafe conditions should be reported promptly. Reports are reviewed and investigated so that contributing factors can be identified and suitable corrective actions implemented.
